The Osprey returns
Several of the "Friends of Weir Wood" have reported sightings of an Osprey over the lake.
Whilst migrating at this time of year and therefore not a complete rarety, it will be interesting to see if it stays any length of time owing to the new stocks of Trout in the water.
The prospect of seeing an Osprey fishing the water far outweighs the few fish it might take so lets hope it stays with us.
