Birdwatching at Weir Wood Nature Reserve

Great Crested GrebeThe Nature Reserve is part of the Weir Wood Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which is managed by the East Sussex County Council Ranger Service in consultation with Natural England and input from The Friends of Weir Wood Society. 

Recent wildlife sightings and photos are regularly updated on the Friends’ web site at www.weirwood.me.uk where there is also a news section plus guidance on bird watching areas and information about the reservoir’s history. 

New sightings, news items and photos are always welcome and the Friends’ web site provides easy links for their submission.
