GIFTS

If you'd like us to send a gift to someone on your behalf, we'd be delighted to enclose a card with your message to the recipient and send the receipted invoice direct to you.

NEXT COLLECTION DESPATCH

Wherever possible, we aim to despatch items in the first available carrier collection after receiving the order (usually, the same day).

UK MAINLAND POSTAGE AND CARRIAGE

When ordering through our on-line shop the automatic charge will be for small items (lines, leaders, flies, etc.) to be sent by 1st class post and larger or high-value items (waders, rods, etc.) to be sent by courier. If you want your items sent by special delivery or by alternative method please order by telephone.

OVERSEAS ORDERS: Europe, USA & Canada including Northern Ireland and Eire.

For orders outside of mainland Britain, you will be asked to choose a delivery option from a list including Europe EEC, Europe non EEC, and USA and Canada each of which states the cost and method of carriage for two sizes of item. Wherever possible your order will then be dispatched at that cost. However as carriage costs and terms are constantly changing we do reserve the right to charge you any excess of cost of carriage over these prices, but will notify you of any increase before dispatching the goods to you give you the option to change or cancel your order.

OVERSEAS ORDERS: Rest of the world

Please do not use our on-line secure ordering system. For orders to all other countries, we ask that you e-mail us with your requirements, so that we can quote you for the safe carriage of your goods and arrange a suitable method of payment.

VAT

Please note that our prices include UK value added tax (VAT) at the current rate of 20%. Orders received from non-EU countries will have the VAT deducted (to remove VAT from prices shown in this catalogue, divide by 1.2).

ALL TACKLE IS ON APPROVAL

Should whatever you have ordered from us prove unsuitable, for any reason, we will replace it or refund your money, at your option, provided you return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of receiving it. N.B. This does not mean, as one 'gentleman' thought, a brand new rod rent free for his annual week's salmon fishing!

GUARANTEES/WARRANTIES

Unconditional guarantees or warranties are never unconditional and they are by no means free. You pay for them either through a higher initial purchase price, or through inflated service costs when you make a claim (and sometimes both). Several less scrupulous manufacturers make more money out of warranty claims than they do out of selling you the product and some even charge when there is a genuine manufacturing fault. UK customers are protected by the Sale of Goods Act (and other statutes) which broadly requires that any manufacturing fault that reveals itself early on results in the goods being replaced or repaired and should not incur any cost to the purchaser at all.

We guarantee everything we sell for at least one year against faulty design, materials or workmanship and as a retailer, we pass on to you any manufacturer's additional warranty given over and above your existing rights as a consumer. We do not guarantee against accidental damage or normal wear and tear.

If one of our own products is defective and fails within 12 months, provided you return it to us, we will replace or repair it at no extra cost to you. If, however, it breaks more than 12 months after you purchased it, you must accept that it is most likely to be normal wear and tear or accidental damage for which you have either to accept responsibility or separately insure. But we do try to keep the repair or replacement cost to a minimum in order to retain your trust in us.

DISCLAIMER

While every effort has been made to ensure that the details on this site are accurate, specifications, prices and availability of items may be in error or change due to circumstances outside our control.
