Fishing at Weir Wood

Where else could you possibly wish to cast a line than on 280 acres of stunningly beautiful lake in the heart of the Sussex Weald at Forest Row, just a few miles south of East Grinstead on the A22 and just 34 miles from central London?

Originally a trout fishery run by Southern Water and more recently a coarse fishery, Weir Wood is now run as a mixed fishery with fly fishing only for trout from March 15th through until June 15th during the coarse fishing closed season, any method trout and general coarse fishing from July through until the end February and Pike fishing from the beginning of October.

Weir Wood also hosts competitions, courses and corporate entertainment days for both coarse and fly fishing and caters for all ages and group sizes.

We have day, half day and season ticket options either from the bank or from our brand new fleet of Pioneer boats each with outboards and two built-in comfortable swivel seats, so you can leave your thwart boards at home! We also have special arrangements for float tubers. You can also join our Weir Wood Angling Club with lots of additional benefits and discounts for our regulars.

At our fully refurbished fishing lodge we have changing facilities, a well stocked tackle shop (We are the main agents for ArrowHead tackle) and a cafeteria offering a welcome break and our famous Weir Wood Wedge, a succulent, locally sourced bacon, sausage and egg roll!
