Weir Wood fishing

Built in 1953, Weir Wood is a spectacular lake nestling in the stunningly beautiful Sussex weald near Forest Row, just a few miles south of East Grinstead on the A22 and just 34 miles from central London.

With 280 acres of naturally fed water from the upper reaches of the River Medway and Ashdown Forest rising from its southern shores the whole area is a haven for wildlife and a fantastic activity sport venue for anyone who loves the outdoors and the English countryside at its best.

So, whether you seek the quiet of our SSSI Nature reserve, the challenge of our prolific fishery or a cruise through our waters with paddle or sail, we are sure your next visit to Weir Wood will be a memorable one.

Just click through our activities menu on the left or follow the news items in the boxes on the right and you will be well on your way.
